  • 4 tbl sp sugar
  • 4 tbl sp designated coconut
  • 4 cardamon pods
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 sml cup chopped almonds
  • 1 sml cup raisins
  • 1 tin condensed milk
  • 1 tbl spn semolina
  • pistachio nuts (to garnish)

DescriptionDescription  Bangladeshi dessert, great to serve at weddings or traditional occasions.
InstructionsInstructions  Grate carrots very thin, fry in ghee until carrots turn soft. Take off heat, leave to the side. In a separate pan, boil the milk with sugar, designated coconut and spices. Boil for (approx.) 2 hrs until milk turns creamy and ? the amount as original quantity. Now add the semolina to the milk, continuously stir for 5 mins. Add almonds and raisins, stir for 10 mins. Now add the soft carrots, stirring for further 10 mins. Leave on slow heat for ? hr, stirring occasionally so mixtue does not clog. Once mixture is thick (like porridge), add condensed milk. Boil for 5 mins stirring. Take off heat, allow to cool.
NotesNotes  Take out the spices, transfer into another container, sprinkle chopped Pistachio nuts to garnish. Leave in the fridge to cool.
