  • 2 onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 cinnamon
  • 2 black cardamon
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 pinches nutmeg powder
  • 2 pinches mace powder
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 sml cup oil
  • salt to taste

InstructionsInstructions  Clean, soak the rice in water for an hour and then drain the water. --Heat oil in a pan and put finely chopped onions and cashews and fry till onions turn golden brown and keep aside. --Heat oil in a pan add bay leaves, black pepper, clove and cinnamon and let it splutter. --Then add soaked rice and fry them for around 8 to 10 minutes. Add salt, water, sugar, nutmeg powder and mace powder and boil the rice on high flame for 5 to 10 minutes and cook till the water gets absorbed. Serve hot and garnish it with cashew nut, and fried onions.
